  • ANOMALOUS DIRECTORY APPEARANCE
    C:\LOSTNET\USERS\ELLIOT_1999\LOGS> type LOG_01.txt

The first trace of LOSTNET was not discovered through any intentional search process. It appeared during routine traversal of an old directory mirror that should have been fully indexed and static. The anomaly is that the folder structure containing it did not exist in prior backups, yet was present in the current snapshot as if it had always been there. Timestamp metadata predates the hardware environment it is stored on, creating a paradox that invalidates standard archival chronology.
